OUR MISSION

Faith Baptist is the home of Maryland/Delaware Recovery Unit 1. Owned by our regional association and part of the national Southern Baptist Disaster Relief ministries, our unit was commissioned in 2002 and has since responded to over 30 disasters in 10 states along the Eastern Seaboard.
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is Recognized by FEMA and partners with the Red Cross and Salvation Army on major disasters.
We are one of the largest volunteer disaster relief agencies in the United States, serving communities with the love of Christ in their most desperate hour.
Members of Faith and sister Churches in the Blue Ridge Baptist Association form the backbone of our response teams.
WHAT WE DO
Our Capabilities
Chainsaw Operations
Trained teams conduct certified chainsaw operations to clear debris, fallen trees, and hazardous material after tornadoes and hurricanes.
Flood Recovery
Full flood recovery operations including water extraction, mold mitigation, and structural drying to help homeowners begin recovery.
Emergency Roof & Window Repairs
Rapid temporary repairs to damaged roofs and windows to protect homes and families from further damage.
FEMA Recognized
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is officially recognized by FEMA, ensuring coordinated response alongside federal agencies.
Multi-Agency Partnerships
Trained & Background-Checked
We work hand-in-hand with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army on large-scale disaster response operations.
All participants undergo specialized training and a thorough background check before joining any disaster response deployment.

BCM/D Ready
BCM/D Ready is designed to position churches across our two-state, eleven-association collective to more effectively respond to natural disasters and community needs. Through prayer, preparation, training, and partnership, churches are equipped to Prepare, Connect, and Respond when communities need it most.
Training resources, volunteer forms, gear, instructional videos, and coordinator support are all available through BCM/D Ready - everything your church needs to serve on the front lines of disaster relief.
